ICON 2009 Winner for Best Photography

The Wedding of Amanda Mooney and Matt Robertson took place on 6/7/2008. About 400 guests assembled at the Denver Art Museum for cocktails after the ceremony at the Cathedral Basilica of the Immaculate Conception. The reception dinner took place that the Denver Art Museum's Ponti Hall, followed by an after-party at the DCPA Seawell Ballroom. Delbert McClinton provided the entertainment. The accompanying images seek to tell a comprehensive story of the day's events in the photojournalistic style requested by the couple. Specific formal portraits were also requested, examples of which are included. In accordance with generally accepted rules for photographic competition, none of these images have been retouched in any way in order to provide the judges with authentic examples of the entrants photographic ability to capture high quality images with a still camera under wedding-day conditions. Albums and fine art prints delivered to clients contain dramatically retouched images that are substantially different from the camera capture. Examples are available upon request.
