ICON 2009 Winner for Best Decorating Design

A staple of the '80's party design, this M.A.S.H. inspired theme worked perfectly for the 35th anniversary of St. Anthony's Flight for Life. Set against the backdrop of the existing exhibits, funny and kitschy vignettes filled the space at Wings Over the Rockies. Included were the officers' club as the VIP area, mess tents, hospital wards which served as buffets, and Rosie's Bar. Facades of the officers' quarters, complete with laundry hung out to dry, backed the stage. Lawn chairs were scattered about an flamingos popped up in unexpected places. Centerpieces occupied beakers, helmets, and tin cups as opposed to traditional glassware.
