Will the young Miranda – “A Teenager in Love” – find true love? Ballet Director’s Choice

Ballets that break the rules. Season closer Ballet Director’s Choice will highlight the talents of Colorado Ballet’s dancers in a collection of contemporary premieres. The repertory will include the world premiere of the tango-inspired ballet The Angel of Buenos Aires by choreographer and Colorado Ballet's Ballet Mistress Lorita Travaglia. The ballet will feature music by Piazzolla. Renowned contemporary choreographer Dominic Walsh will present Wolfgang (for Webb), with music by W. A. Mozart. Wolfgang premiered on April 25, 2008 in Sarasota, Florida and was performed by the Sarasota Ballet. In April 2009, it was performed as part of the The Trilogy: Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart in a collaboration between Dominic Walsh Dance Theater and the Sarasota Ballet.
