It is based on the 1975 documentary of the same title and set at Grey Gardens, the Bouviers’ mansion in East Hampton, New York. The musical tracks the progression of the two women’s lives from their original status as rich and socially polished aristocrats to their eventually largely isolated existence in a home overrun by cats and cited for repeated health code violations. "Grey Gardens" seeks to untangle the complicated dynamics of their dysfunctional mother/daughter relationship.

WHERE: The Betsy Stage, 1133 S. Huron St. DenverThe Betsy Stage presents "Beth" An original adaptation of William Shakespeare's "Macbeth" by The Betsy Stage Directed by Samantha McDermott In the 1920’s an art scene, vibrant and alive, existed in Paris. Our version of Macbeth is set here. This is the story of a woman, a painter and her nightmare journey that starts as a model of innocence and descends into destruction and despair and darkness. If ambition is squashed and the center of one’s being must be disguised in order to achieve success what torture comes from this? And with this, the motivation for our Beth, we paint the bloody picture of her life and love.
