Vintage Theatre presents “I Do! I Do!”

Vintage Theatre presents "I Do! I Do!" Based on The Four Poster by Jan de Hartog Book and Lyrics by Tom Jones; Music by Harvey Schmidt Directed by Lorraine Scott Musical Direction by Sheri Wright September 26 – November 2, 2014 Vintage Theatre presents “I Do! I Do!” at 1468 Dayton St., Aurora 80010. Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 2:30 p.m; with additional performances on Thursday, October 30 at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, November 1at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are $31 ($26 advance), Senior, Student, Group discounts available. Tickets are available by calling 303-856-7830 or online at Tony Award nominated I Do! I Do! is a two-character story spanning fifty years, from 1915 to 1965, as it focuses on the ups and downs experienced by Agnes and Michael Snow throughout their marriage. The set consists solely of their bedroom, dominated by the large fourposter bed in the center of the room.

A Midsummer Night’s Dream

Colorado Ballet opens its 54th season with A Midsummer Night’s Dream, an enchanting presentation of Shakespeare’s classic filled with mischief, romance and comedy. This fanciful production features choreography by Christopher Wheeldon and a score by Felix Mendelssohn, performed live by the Colorado Ballet Orchestra and the Colorado Children’s Chorale. Between the festive costumes, majestic scenery, meddlesome fairies and crisscrossed young lovers, this ballet is pure magic.

Artists on Santa Fe Gallery - Fall Show

Fall makes an appearance at Artists on Santa Fe Gallery in October. Using autumn as a source of inspiration, the Gallery’s seventeen resident artists will showcase work in a variety of mediums, including paint, metal, clay, photography, and mixed media. Three Gallery artists were voted “Best of Santa Fe Art District” in September. Leigh Cabell assembles works of recycled art with everything from food wrappers to discarded technology. Judy Gardner builds mixed media works inspired by the overwhelming stimulus that surrounds our world. Macy Dorf creates Southwest-hued, large and small scale ceramics, and his work can be seen on the sidewalks of the Santa Fe Art District. Known as Denver’s accessible and approachable gallery, Artists on Santa Fe invites its visitors to view gallery work and tour working artist studios. The Fall Show will run in the month of October, with extended hours on First and Third Fridays.
