A collection of "snapshot stories" are woven together as each of Oliver's original songs is performed-with gusto and musical virtuosity-while the audience is immersed in stunning projections of the photography that inspired it. "35MM" brings the connection between pleasures visual and aural into razor-sharp focus, creating a singular, multi-sensory emotional journey.

Vintage Theatre presents "Grey Gardens" Book by Doug Wright Music by Scott Frankel, Lyrics by Michael Korie Directed by Sheri Wright April 18 – May 25, 2014 "Grey Gardens" is the hilarious and heartbreaking story of Big Edie and Little Edie Bouvier Beale, the eccentric aunt and cousin of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, once bright names on the social register who became East Hampton’s most notorious recluses. It is based on the 1975 documentary of the same title and set at Grey Gardens, the Bouviers’ mansion in East Hampton, New York. The musical tracks the progression of the two women’s lives from their original status as rich and socially polished aristocrats to their eventually largely isolated existence in a home overrun by cats and cited for repeated health code violations. "Grey Gardens" seeks to untangle the complicated dynamics of their dysfunctional mother/daughter relationship.

The Edge Theater presents the Regional Premiere of “A Round Heeled Woman” Adapted for the stage by Jane Prowse, Based on the book by Jane Juska Directed by Scott Bellot April 18 – May 18, 2014 Round heeled woman: a woman of easy virtue. Jane, a smart, energetic divorcée of a certain age, decides she’d been celibate too long and places a personal ad in her favorite newspaper, The New York Review of Books. “Before I turn 67 - next March - I would like to have a lot of sex with a man I like. If you want to talk first, Trollope works for me.” She received 63 replies, from men between the ages of 32 and 84. “A Round Heeled Woman” depicts some of the real-life encounters which resulted.

The Betsy Stage presents "Beth" An original adaptation of William Shakespeare's "Macbeth" by The Betsy Stage Directed by Samantha McDermott In the 1920’s an art scene, vibrant and alive, existed in Paris. Our version of Macbeth is set here. This is the story of a woman, a painter and her nightmare journey that starts as a model of innocence and descends into destruction and despair and darkness. If ambition is squashed and the center of one’s being must be disguised in order to achieve success what torture comes from this? And with this, the motivation for our Beth, we paint the bloody picture of her life and love.
