WHERE: Artists on Santa Fe Gallery 747 Santa Fe Drive Denver 802043 D PICTION featuring JUDY GARDNER and MACY DORF A collaborative show of clay, printmaking, and alternative process digital techniques including photo transfer, laser cutting and 3D printing. Incorporating Macy Dorf’s extensive knowledge of clay fabrication techniques and Judy Gardner’s considerable collection of digital and traditional printmaking techniques, these two artists have created a unique body of both individual and collaborative new works. 3D Piction opens on September 5 and continues until September 30, 2014.

WHERE: The Byers-Evans House Gallery, 1310 Bannock Street, DenverColorado Plein Air Arts Festival: Imel/Spear/McCray The Byers-Evans House Gallery’s September show will feature an exhibition of works by Kathy Imel, Will Spear, and Rhonda McCray, winners in the Emerging Artists category of the 2013 Colorado Plein Air Arts Festival. The Colorado Plein Air Arts Festival, sponsored by the Golden Triangle Museum District, is the largest urban plein air event in the nation, and encompasses the entire state of Colorado, with select “paint-outs” at historic and scenic places around the state. This show will open with a reception on Friday, September 5, from 5 to 9 p.m. during the Golden Triangle Museum District’s First Friday Art Walk. The show will remain on view in the gallery through Saturday, September 27.

This tragicomedy in two acts comes to WorkISpace, located at 2701 Lawrence Street in Denver, on September 12 with performances through October 11. Considered the first work of the “Theatre of the Absurd,” genre, Waiting for Godot was voted “The Most Significant English Language Play of the 20th Century.” The NY World-Telegram describes Waiting for Godot as: "[it] cannot be compared to any other theater work, because its purpose is so different. Two dilapidated tramps fill their days as painlessly as they can. They wait for someone, or something, called Godot, who will explain their interminable insignificance, or put an end to it.”
