Inspired ideas for kids’ parties
It can be tough for busy parents to keep up with what’s cool among kids these days. But don’t fret, we’re here to help get those creative juices flowing. If you’re looking for some fun and inspired new ways to celebrate your kids’ milestones this year—without overexerting your time, energy, and budget—we’ve got you covered. Here are some of the top trends in kids’ party themes in 2019, so you can get a jump on planning the perfect party you and your children are sure to remember for years to come!
With so many exciting new kids’ movies coming out in 2019, many children will be asking parents for movie-themed parties this year. From winter/spring releases like LEGO Movie 2, How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World, and Dumbo, to the summer premiers of Pokémon, Aladdin, Toy Story 4, Spider-Man, The Lion King, Dora the Explorer, and more, there’s sure to be a fun movie theme for every child’s birthday this year.
Superheroes are huge with kids (and adults) right now. Whether it’s a Wonder Woman birthday party, a more mature version of a Marvel theme for a bar mitzvah, or a general superhero theme where every kid can dress up as his or her favorite character, this theme is sure to be a hit with kids and parents celebrating all kinds of milestones.
Fun animals, mythical creatures, and enchanting forests
Last year saw a huge resurgence of unicorn-obsessed girls, and that trend is likely to continue into 2019. Other creatures that kids are falling in love with include Peppa Pig, llamas and whimsical forest friends (think foxes, squirrels, owls, toads and fairies). There’s even a growing trend that industry leaders are calling the enchanted forest theme. Incorporate a scavenger hunt as well and you’ll be sure to knock it out of the park (or forest) for your child’s next party.
