Frisco’s Fabulous Fourth of July, July 4: The Town of Frisco hosts its annual Fabulous Fourth of July on Friday, July 4, including a slew of classic Americana-inspired activities, such as a pancake breakfast, a free kids fishing derby, a parade on Main Street featuring decorative floats and vintage vehicles, an evening concert and more. Frisco encourages attendees to participate in the festive parade with decorated bicycles, dogs, horses, scooters and skateboards.
July 4th Celebration in Snowmass, July 4: Snowmass Village invites locals and visitors to celebrate Independence Day on Friday, July 4, with a festive evening. Kicking off with a free concert on Fanny Hill featuring the Spazmatics, the night includes free sweet treats and glow-in-the-dark goodies. The Fort Heritage Program Storytelling: Firearms of the American Rocky Mountain Trappers & Traders, July 11: As part of The Fort’s Heritage Program storytelling presentation on Friday, July 11, writer and living historian Vic Nathan Barkin will bring to life the world of Rocky Mountain fur trappers from 1820 to 1840 through firsthand accounts and period firearms. The hour-long presentation will explore the lives of mountain men like Hugh Glass and Joe Meek, alongside a display of original rifles, pistols and gear, highlighting the firearms technology and trade that shaped the fur industry in the American West. Upswell RiNo Opens, July 12: Upswell is expanding in Denver, opening a third location in RiNo on Saturday, July 12. Bright Nights Returns to Four Mile, July 19 & July 23-Oct.5: Bright nights at Four Mile Historic Park, Denver’s original lantern festival experience, returns to Denver this summer Wednesday through Sunday evenings, from July 23 through Oct. 5. Across the Park’s 12 acres, brand new lantern themes include Farmhouse Flora and Fauna, Chinese Dreamland and an expanded interactive zone with swings, panda whack-a-mole and a video call with the Cleveland Asian Lantern Festival. Under the glow of more than 40 larger-than-life sculptures, guests can also enjoy food and concessions from Big Belly Brother’s BBQ, Kona Ice of Hampden and The Aguilar Four. Plus, adult-only nights will feature DJs and additional sponsor activations. A VIP preview party ($125 per person) on Saturday, July 19, from 7:30-10:30 p.m. will offer the first look at Bright Nights 2025, and guests will enjoy hearty appetizers, sweet treats and two complimentary drinks, while live music sets the perfect vibe. Spa After Dark at St Julien, July 24: A nocturnal spa experience that blends luxury and wellness, Spa at St Julien will host Spa After Dark on Thursday, July 24, from 8-10 p.m. For $75 per person, guests will enjoy a 10-15—minute treatment of choice, including a chair massage, an evening eye look by Jane Iredale Cosmetics, a Dazzle Dry nail service or a skin consultation with a Knesko eye or lip mask. Cinema in The Sky, Through July 25: Enjoy starlit summer evenings at an open-air cinema atop Halcyon, a hotel in Cherry Creek, with poolside screenings of iconic films every Friday this summer. Guests will enjoy complimentary popcorn while floating in the heated pool or curl up on a chaise lounge to experience an iconic movie under the Colorado skyline. The Fort Introduces Artist Showcase Series, weekends through September: As part of its ongoing Heritage Programming, The Fort recently debuted an Artist Showcase series featuring a different talented artist each weekend through September. Hosted in The Fort’s courtyard, Spanish, Native American and Western artists will display and sell their work which embraces the rich artistic heritage of the West.
- Merlin Little Thunder Showcase, July 11-12: From Tulsa, OK and an enrolled member of the Southern Cheyenne tribe, Merlin has painted professionally since 1980. His art is based on his memories of growing up in the Cheyenne community and of Fonda, on family stories, and his involvement with the Cheyenne ceremonies.
- Milford Calamity Showcase, July 18-20: From Albuquerque, NM, Milford is a self-taught Navajo silversmith who works with sterling silver, copper, gold, turquoise, as well as a variety of exotic stones. He loves to exaggerate shapes, textures and colors in his work and takes pride in incorporating contemporary art with traditional Navajo silversmith techniques.
- Nathan Nez Showcase, July 25-27: From Woodsprings, AZ on the Navajo Reservation, Nathan’s artwork has been featured in several magazines and has participated in numerous art shows.
