Since 1948, Denver and Brest have thrived in what is recognized as the first Franco-American sister city partnership. To celebrate this historic alliance, Descofar will perform a vibrant mix of Celtic music, electric harps, and psychedelic post-rock, demonstrating the rich cultural tapestry of Brittany, France. This concert is not just a musical event but a showcase of the profound cultural ties and international diplomacy between the two cities.
“We are excited to bring a piece of Breton culture to Denver and provide an unforgettable experience that supports our future global leaders through the Young Ambassador program,” said Sacha Francois Heppell, Executive Director of DSCIl. “This event highlights the spirit of international cooperation and friendship that we strive to promote.”
Additionally, on Saturday, June 15th, a family-friendly concert titled “Kids’ Breton Matinee” at Dazzle Denver, starting at 12 PM with doors opening at 11 AM. Tickets are just $5 here thanks to the ‘Music in Action’ grant from the Live Music Society. This event is an excellent opportunity for young audiences to experience the Celtic music of Descofar and the vibrant traditions of Brittany.
