Welcome back fellow foodies and happy “Happy Hour.” I have never written on killer happy hours in Denver, so I decided to devote this article to the happiest of them all, Glo Noodle House. The folks behind Glo Noodle House are industry vets, husband and wife duo, Christopher and Ariana Teigland. Both are Michelin Star Bib Gourmand recipients, and they are turning out some delicious Asian food for happy hour in Denver. Dumplings, Yakitori, Temaki, and creative cocktails are on the menu for their happy hour. I had to go check it out, so let’s eat, and drink.

The art of dumpling making is just that, an art, and a skill. I have tried to master this art but have failed many times. However, Glo Noodle House is making them fresh from scratch, for the happy hour menu. Filled with pork and topped with Kimchi, I was slightly jealous at their execution of a very tasty dumpling. It was spicy, flavorful, and the best happy hour to start a wonderful night. I dined on other items like Spicy Tuna Temaki and Brisket Bao Buns. These inventive takes on the originals made my Friday that much better. Their dinner menu has some of the most unique Ramen offerings I have ever seen. The Lemon Chicken Shio was tangy and so unique, that I took some home for later. Nothing on the Happy Hour menu is above nine dollars, with one dollar off beers and select wines complete with highballs and sake bombs that you must dive into.

Glo Noodle House was named after Christopher’s mother Gloria. As a pastry chef, Gloria encouraged Christopher to try and cook Asian food as a child. He says his mother’s “love language” was cooking meals for others. He truly honors his mother’s memory by making her proud with his cooking and naming the restaurant after her.  Once again, I always say, when a lot of love goes into your food, it pours out tenfold onto the plate. Christopher, your mother would be so proud, and I am so happy that we have you as an amazing addition to the Asian food scene in Denver. The happy hour is from 4-6 pm daily, and I’ll be back for sure. As always my fellow foodies, eat well, drink well, and be well.
