With National Pet Day approaching, it’s our unofficial invite to kick off patio season. What better way to celebrate than to bring your four-legged companion for some quality time on a spacious patio while we enjoy seasonal flavors and take advantage of the Colorado sun?

On National Pet Day, The Golden Mill will kick off patio – or “pet”io – season. Home to Golden’s largest dog-friendly patio, the food hall is a perfect stop after a dog-friendly hike in the foothills or a stroll along Clear Creek. Dogs can enjoy a pup cup from Happy Cones, while their humans take advantage of the 50+ self-pour taps and five different cuisine options, ranging from BBQ to sushi. The Mill also partners with local brand, Breck & Bailey, which has an on-site doggy vending machine featuring Colorado-themed merch for man’s best friend.

With plenty of outdoor eating and drinking areas, Stanley Marketplace stands out as an ideal destination for spending quality time with your furry friend this National Pet Day. You and your pup can bask in the sunshine on the spacious patio at Logan House Coffee Co., facing the open green lawn for post-coffee roaming, and Stanley Beer Hall is always filled with good boys and girls on the expansive, west-facing patio boasting its own dedicated tap wall. When the weather is nice, head over to the Casita Azul at Cheluna Brewing Co., offering a premiere patio spot for you and your pet while you sip on one of the seasonally-crafted cervezas from the Latinx-owned brewery. Don’t forget to swing by Boychik, the newest restaurant at Stanley Marketplace, and enjoy their welcoming pet-friendly patio while indulging in some delicious hummus and pita or savoring a glass of wine from their internationally-inspired wine list.
