Welcome back my fellow foodies. It’s still summertime in Denver, and I’m soaking up all the vitamin D. The RINO district of Denver has become one of my favorite spots, so I decided to have a fun little getaway for a night at The Ramble Hotel. This is a small boutique hotel located in the heart of RINO and close to everywhere you would want to go in Denver. I needed a staycation, and this seemed like the place to park myself for 24 hours to relax, eat, and enjoy the RINO district. The Ramble Hotel is home to the famous Death & Co restaurant and bar, so off I pop.

There are 50 rooms at The Ramble Hotel complete with a French press coffee maker, five-star bedding, and free WIFI. The hotel is within walking distance to shops, bars, and restaurants. You can valet your car and forget about driving when you are here because everything is in close proximity.

The Garden at The Ramble Hotel is an outdoor patio bar filled with lush greenery. The signature drink here is the frozen espresso martini, and it was like a smooth boozy coffee milkshake. There are many more libations to choose from and the fresh Colorado air was a total bonus. You can order small bites at the bar to accompany your cocktail, and this bar is a fabulous prelude to the dinner at Death & Co.

I headed to Death & Co for dinner and cocktails. This is the second location of the famous East Village cocktail bar in New York. The crowded bar here was filled with curious libation seekers trying all kinds of different cocktails from well-trained mixologists. I had the beet salad which looked like summer on a plate. There is a rainbow of colors and tastes in this salad, and it is a must order when here. I also had the steak frites. Sliced and cooked perfectly, with two dipping sauces for your steak and fries, this dish was just what I wanted on this Summer night. I opted for a classic Old Fashioned to accompany my dinner but there are about one hundred drinks to choose from on the menu, so I would say, adventure to an alternate universe of libations and try something new.

I am so happy that the RINO district of Denver is bustling and lively. It gives me a place to come down to the city and enjoy many kinds of food and some of Denver’s best bars.  Boutique hotels are my favorite, so The Ramble fits the bill for me in every way. I woke up rested, and ready to take on another beautiful Colorado day. Lucky me! Until next time my fellow foodies, eat well, drink well, and be well.
