The National Western Stock Show honored former Wyoming Governor Matthew Mead as the 2023 Citizen of the West at the awards dinner held on Jan 9. Proceeds from the Citizen of the West event support 100 scholarships which are awarded to students in Colorado and Wyoming who major in agricultural science, rural medicine, or veterinary medicine.
