Battle of the Bruschetta at Postino, Now Through Labor Day 

Battle of the Bruschetta is a bracket-style competition between eight limited-time bruschetta recipes developed by Postino executive chefs. Postino’s out-of-the-box, innovative face-offs include Chicken Curry vs. Spicy Brussels Sprout Bruschetta (June 29 through July 12) and Strawberry Cheesecake vs. Sweet Potato Pie Bruschetta (July 13 through 26). During each two-week battle round, guests can order two competing bruschetta flavors and vote on their favorite by texting “BATTLE” to (602) 637-1510; they will be automatically entered to win a $50 gift card upon voting. The Battle of the Bruschetta is on at all five Colorado Postino locations — LoHi, 9+Co, Broadway, Highlands Ranch and Boulder.

‘Merica Burger & Bomb Pop Milkshake at Slater’s 50/50 Denver 

Keep the Fourth of July celebrations going all month long with two limited time offerings from Slater’s 50/50 Denver. The over-the-top bacon loaded ‘Merica Burger contains a full pound of meat: Two 100% bacon patties, bacon mac and cheese, bacon coleslaw, bacon island dressing and a half bacon, half beef hot link grilled and dipped in Franks red hot sauce. The nostalgic Bomb Pop Milkshake is a strawberry milkshake with red, white and blue star sprinkles, whipped cream, a classic Bomb Pop popsicle and sparklers. For more information or reservations, visit here.

Wine School: Burgundy Reds from Dijon to Mâcon, July 8 

On Saturday, July 8, from 3:30 – 4:30 p.m., enjoy an afternoon dedicated to Burgundy at Noble Riot with sommelier and general manager Matt Strauch. Pinot Noir, the dominant red grape of Burgundy and one of the oldest vitis vinifera varieties on the planet, is susceptible to yield pressures and changes in soil and climate, fueling debates about differences in terroir character found in various villages throughout the Côte d’Or. Guests will learn and taste eight different varietals from Côte de Nuits, Côte de Beaune, Côte Chalonnaise, and The Mâconnais, including Premier Cru and Grand Cru delights. National French Fry Day at The OG, July 13 

For National French Fry Day, The OG – McGregor Square’s diner-inspired brunch-ery – offers a tasty and local twist on classic French fries. Celebrate Bastille Day with Le French, July 14-16

Le French, the modern-chic French bistro located in Denver’s Belleview Station, is bringing Bastille Day celebrations to Colorado with a special fixed menu June 14 – 16. For $55, guests are invited to enjoy Le French’s spin on the classic Kir Royal, a sparkling wine cocktail with créme de cassis or créme de pêche, as well as the choice between a small plate, an entrée, and a crème brûlée. Small plate options include escargot served with parsley-garlic butter and lemon or brie & baobab preserves, served with cashews, apple and baguette, and guests can choose between two entrees, P.E.I blue muscles in a curry broth or pan-seared bavette steak and frites, served with béarnaise aioli or green and black pepper corn sauce.
