Running through the heart of Denver, the 40-mile, paved Cherry Creek Trail starts at Confluence Park and follows the course of Cherry Creek with access to city parks like Sunken Gardens, Alamo Placita Park, and Four Mile Historic Park. Along the Cherry Trail, and within the parks it veers into, city-venturers can get a glimpse of Denver’s changing colors.

Also from the Gear Garage, rent GoPros and cameras to take on a mountain leaf-peeping adventure. Halcyon guests can grab an early morning coffee at the Kitchen Counter to beat the crowds and head into the foothills – or farther into the Rocky Mountains – to catch all the glorious glimpses of the Aspen trees as they make the change from green to sunshine yellow.
