This November 9-17, Opera Colorado will present Donizetti’s Daughter of the Regiment for the first time ever in Denver at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House. Set in the French Alps, this comedic story follows Marie, a young woman raised by soldiers, on her funny and heartfelt journey through love and loyalty, while navigating life between her military family and her noble heritage.

The production stars Katrina Galka as Marie and Andrew Stenson as Tonio, both known for their exceptional vocal performances. Chía Patiño, making her Opera Colorado directorial debut, brings a fresh and imaginative vision to this lighthearted yet vocally challenging opera. Adding to the excitement is the debut of drag superstar Monét X Change, joining the cast for this vibrant production.
