Home Store Partners with Jan Barboglio to Launch A New Exclusive Jewelry Line
Homefest hosting a launch party September 7 to showcase the artist’s new jewelry collection
A master of marrying old and new to create one-of-a-kind pieces that embody the elegance and traditions of Old Mexico, artist Jan Barboglio brings those principles to her newest collection, Orfebería.
Orfebrería which means goldsmith in English, is really wearable art, and Barboglio’s collection of earrings, bracelets and necklaces allow the wearer to connect with the artist on a more personal level.
“Wearing the solid bronze Rosa Embossed Bracelet for example, you can feel the craftsmanship steeped in Mexican traditions, with the rose representing the spiritual Rosa de la Virgen de Guadalupe,” shares Laura Stroud of Homefest. “Jan’s artistry has always caught our eye and her creations have been sought-after items in our store for years, so we are thrilled to invite people to meet Jan in person and learn about her individually signed pieces of jewelry.”
The patina of found objects that embody the Hacienda lifestyle bring her jewelry collection to life. With the help of incredible craftsmen, Barboglio has embarked on a new chapter. Bronze, silver, gold, and iron are pounded, cast, and hammered, coaxing each piece of jewelry to life. New designs will replace acquired pieces to preserve the inherently collectible nature of the offering.
Barboglio will be at Homefest on September 7, from 11:00 am – 3:00 pm for an exclusive launch of her artistically imagined, elegantly crafted and individually signed creations.
