Summer patio season has ended but that doesn’t mean we have to huddle indoors for the next several months. Colorado prides itself on embracing the “après-lifestyle” – relaxing outside with in the fresh air and views – and many of our restaurants have adapted to the chilly weather with heated patios and cozy accommodations for year-round al fresco fun. We rounded up a few of our favorite heated patio options in the city to check out before cabin fever sets in:

Stanley Marketplace

Stanley Marketplace is not just a small business collective and shopping hub during the holidays, it’s also home to several restaurants and bars including a few with warmed patios for leisurely drinking and dining. For heated outdoorsy feel, stop in to Stanley Beer Hall and take your choice from the 51-tap pour wall on the enormous west-facing patio; for a more intimate experience, pull up a seat in the four-season patio at Annette with blankets and heaters to enjoy when there’s a nip in the air.

Number Thirty Eight

One of Denver’s largest patios also offers one of the best winter drink menus. Number Thirty Eight boasts incredible mountain views on the expansive patio where, on any given day, guests enjoy live music and other events. Savor seasonal beverages made with Colorado spirits, like Spiked Hot Chocolate or the White Hot Russian, and take in the scene.

Cantina Loca

A margarita in the month of December is no problem when you sip it on the heated patio at Cantina Loca. Transport yourself to Dana Rodriguez’s native Mexico in even the coldest of Colorado months when you snack on an array of delicious tacos like the Beef Barbacoa or Carnitas, and pair them with the stellar cocktails highlighting Rodriguez’s Doña Loca spirits.

The Golden Mill

The Front Range’s favorite après spot is the perfect place to warm up after a chilly Colorado adventure. This season, guests can continue to enjoy downtown Golden’s only rooftop patio – and the best views in the city – while cozying up next to their rooftop fire pits or at one of their new tabletop fires. Starting in December, guests can check out The Golden Mill’s brand-new pop-up warm cocktail bar – featuring spiked cider, hot toddies, hot chocolate with peppermint liqueur and more – alongside their regular self-pour tap wall and five different local food stalls.
