Do you have what it takes to survive in a completely foreign environment? Leave Earth behind and travel interspace for an experience unlike any other in Planet Pioneers coming to Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum now through January 8, 2023.

Created by the renowned Scitech in Perth, Australia and produced by Imagine Exhibitions, Scitech’s new feature exhibition Planet Pioneers will challenge visitors to immigrate to a new world to explore, adapt, survive and colonize a brand-new planet.

Comprised of 17 hands-on exhibits, Planet Pioneers will put budding astronauts and space explorers to the test when they attempt to source their own food, shelter and solve problems in an unknown world. Colonizing the planet is no trivial task and visitors should prepare for full-body challenges including driving a 4-D Surface Exploration Vehicle, flying a virtual drone to solve environmental issues and experiencing G-Force in a spinning capsule.

Before arriving at the planet, you will need to successfully pack the right equipment for the voyage, recruit the perfect crew and learn about the surrounding planets in the solar system. Once landed, visitors can challenge themselves to find sources of water and oxygen, grow food in the foreign atmosphere and build shelter to survive the elements.

Scitech CEO Deb Hancock explained how Planet Pioneers was an excellent example of how Scitech’s exhibitions were making a mark on STEM education internationally. “We are thrilled our exhibition will continue to inspire and engage young minds as it travels, and to develop an awareness of where STEM skills can potentially take you,” Ms. Hancock said. “Having recently won an international Business Practice Award for our traveling exhibitions, Scitech is at the forefront of STEM education on a global scale and we are proud that Planet Pioneers will continue to build on this legacy.”

Planet Pioneers Experience G Force 1

Tom Zaller, CEO of Imagine Exhibitions shared, “Imagine Exhibitions is proud to partner with Scitech to bring Planet Pioneers to Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum. With everything we’ve learned in recent years about our closest planetary neighbor, Mars, maybe one of the visitors to Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum will be a future interplanetary explorer!”

Planet Pioneers is open daily to the public Monday-Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. for a limited engagement. Tickets are available to purchase here.
