Halcyon Offers an Ice-Skating Experience in the Clouds, a Holiday Bake Shop, Holiday Dinners and More

Halcyon, a hotel in Cherry Creek offers a variety of holiday festivities this season. Holiday festivities and programming include Halcyon on Ice, a rooftop ice skating experience in the clouds (available through March 2024); a Holiday Bake Shop, a collection of baked goods available for purchase curated by pastry chef Saura Kline; Thanksgiving at Local Jones; Holiday Tea at Local Jones; and hotel packages and deals.

Halcyon On Ice (daily, Through Sunday, March 31): Halcyon invites guests to Denver’s only rooftop skating experience with Halcyon on Ice, an ice-skating experience in the clouds. While ice skating on the hotel’s rooftop, guests can also enjoy hot beverages, decadent bites, plush blankets, relaxing tunes and breathtaking views of the Mile High City. For $30, guests have access to a two-hour rink pass and one pair of skates. Winterized cabanas are also available to reserve for an elevated winter skating experience for $150 including hand warmers and hot cocoa for up to six guests (plus a $100 food and beverage minimum). Holiday Bake Shop by Pastry Chef Saura Kline (daily, Through Sunday, Dec. 31): The hotel’s Holiday Bake Shop, curated by pastry chef Saura Kline, will feature various holiday baked goods including a spiced chocolate babka loaf, gluten-free brown butter Rice Krispie treats, chocolate peppermint brownies, cookie tins, macarons and more; plus pre-order items for larger baked goodies that feed up to 10 people, including a coconut eggnog cake, brown butter spiced pumpkin cake, pumpkin chiffon pie, chocolate haupia pie and more. Treats for furry friends, such as a peanut butter and pumpkin dog biscuit will also be available for purchase. Treats can be purchased 24 hours, seven days a week at the Holiday Bake Shop located next to the hotel lobby’s Kitchen Counter.
Pinkies Up, Holiday Tea at Local Jones (Tuesdays through Sundays; Through Sunday, Dec. 31): Guests can spend the afternoon sipping tea at Local Jones with warm scones, house-made pastries, savory sandwiches and Champagne. Offered five days a week throughout the holiday season, afternoon tea at Local Jones is anything but ordinary – curated by executive chef Dan Young and pastry chef Saura Kline, this modern take on tea is offered Tuesday through Sunday from 11 a.m. – 1:30 p.m., beginning Friday, Nov. 3, through Sunday, Dec. 31. Beginning at $55, guests will enjoy tea service for two, as well as petit fours, sandwich bites and scones. Guests also have the option to add a glass or bottle of Chandon sparkling wine or Dom Perignon Champagne. Reservations are required and can be made here.
