Our Confetti issue is always a favorite of mine; it’s a labor of love that I look forward to every year. While reviewing countless images for this issue, I was giddy with excitement just thinking of the scents, sounds and sights that come with spring and summer celebrations.

I can’t help but smile at the thought of a champagne bar cart adorned with flowers. My late mother was an inspiration when it came to any celebration, from birthday parties as kids to small gatherings of dinner parties as adults. There was always the extra thought and creativity into every detail, from the flowers to the food.

Whether donning a bespoke, work–of-art fascinator or ordering easy-peasy packaged party kits from a local event planner, any special occasion is made better with the work of these local artists, planners and florists, who are truly the heroes of the celebration scene.

If you are planning, attending or just love all things celebratory, this is the issue for you. Check out these Colorado venues, from LoDo and Lyons to Alta Lakes. There are so many stunning places to tie the knot in our gorgeous state.

Wedding gowns usually take center stage, and this year’s collection from Perla is truly breathtaking. Designer Soña Cox pours her heart into each design, making every bride look and feel her best. (Great news: Perla now has a new Denver location.)

When it comes to wedding registries, couples tend to wait until the last minute to curate their lists, almost seeing it as a chore when it should be a joy. Instead of opting for the standard must-haves, we’ve pulled together a mix of items as unique as you are.

Finally, don’t miss our Event Stars, who are all experts in the art of celebrating life’s big moments as well as intimate dinner parties—and everything in between.

Here’s to a vibrant season of soirees!
